Fairwinds Village is a 55 and over waterfront community of 94 paired villas. Fairwinds Village has an active clubhouse with lots of events and a community pool. Some of the units have deeded boat docks and/or lifts, with good boating water to Dona Bay and the ICW and Gulf of Mexico through the Venice Jetty.
While the Fairwinds Village association fees may seem high, it includes lawn maintenance, seawall and boat dock maintenance, and use of a large clubhouse, which is regularly used for community events. There is also a community boat ramp and a kayak launch and ramp.
Some Fairwinds Village villas have lovely canal views. There is one bridge to the Gulf of Mexico as boaters pass through Lyons Bay for a day on the water. Residents of Fairwinds Village are a short walk or bike ride to Nokomis Beach, waterfront restaurants, or all the amenities of downtown Venice.
